Role OverviewThe Senior Affiliate Account Manager will be the key commercial and operational point of contact for a portfolio of affiliate partners. This role is not just about recruitment and optimization, but also about nurturing affiliate relationships, ensuring consistent lead delivery, and strategically scaling performance across accounts. You'll oversee affiliate performance across a wide mix of digital traffic sources including SMS, email, PPC, native advertising, content marketing, push, and more.
This is a client-facing, data-driven role ideal for someone who combines commercial acumen, analytical strength, and exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own a portfolio of affiliate accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and driving their performance, retention, and growth.
- Optimize account performance by analyzing traffic and conversion data, identifying trends, and implementing strategic improvements.
- Provide affiliates with ongoing support, including offer updates, promotional materials, tracking links, and insights to improve performance.
- Run weekly performance check-ins, monthly business reviews, and strategic QBRs with top partners.
- Negotiate competitive commercial terms, including CPLs, caps, exclusivities, and bonus structures to improve ROI.
- Work closely with the campaign ops, finance, and compliance teams to ensure smooth delivery and accurate payments.
- Monitor traffic quality, conduct compliance checks, and proactively address fraud or non-compliant behavior.
- Maintain updated records on affiliate contacts, deals, and performance metrics via the CRM or tracking platform.
- Stay on top of market trends, affiliate channels (email, SMS, push, native, search, social), and competitor activity.
- Proactively acquire new affiliates and re-engage lapsed or inactive partners to support volume and margin targets.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years experience managing affiliate or digital performance accounts, ideally CPL/CPA-based
- Proven success managing affiliates across multiple digital traffic types (email, SMS, PPC, content, native, etc.)
- Deep understanding of digital lead generation, funnel strategy, and consumer acquisition tactics
- Experience with affiliate tracking platforms (Everflow, HasOffers/TUNE, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into performance improvements
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills across all levels - from solo affiliates to large affiliate networks
- Familiarity with compliance and privacy regulations (GDPR, POPIA, etc.)
- Bonus: experience in regulated verticals such as insurance, fintech, or financial services
