Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, is seeking a Senior Aeronautical Engineer to join its advanced aerospace R&D team. You will design, analyze, and test aircraft components and systems, contributing to next-generation flight solutions in a cutting-edge facility.

Qualifications

Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft design, analysis, or testing.
Proficiency in CAD, CFD, and FEA tools (e.g., CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
Strong understanding of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and flight dynamics.
Experience with aircraft systems integration and testing.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Eligibility for security clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test aerodynamic configurations, aircraft structures, and integrated systems.
Perform CFD/FEA simulations to predict performance and identify design improvements.
Conduct wind tunnel testing and experimental validation.
Contribute to propulsion, control systems, and avionics integration.
Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure producibility and quality.
