Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in Northern Cape invites applications for a Senior Advisor Secondary Plant (Telecontrol/SCADA). The role provides technical support and maintenance for secondary plant within the grid, supporting reliability and QA across projects in the Western Grid.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree (NQF7) with 5+ years in secondary plant technical support, knowledge of transmission networks and plant equipment, and the ability to coach juniors.

Qualifications

• B Degree/B Tech/National Higher Diploma Technical at NQF7 with 360 credits.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Secondary Plant technical support and maintenance.
• Transmission network, plant and equipment knowledge.
• Knowledge of relevant processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and legislation.
• Technical theory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide secondary plant technical support and maintenance.
• Sanction plant after failure.
• Commission and sanction new plant into service.
• Provide project and quality assurance.
• Investigate incidents, conduct research and enhancement.
