Job Mission

Eskom is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Advisor Strategy Execution to provide effective strategy execution support within the 'functional leader' model. This role aims to guide and enable the realization of Eskom's corporate business plan and strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate and guide strategy execution by aligning organizational and operational planning to Eskom's strategy, including:
  • Cascading the strategy across business domains to ensure consistency in themes, objectives, initiatives, KPIs, and targets, using balanced scorecards and dashboards.
  • Linking strategy with core business processes to focus on critical operational initiatives.
  • Integrating financial, human resources, and other resource planning with the Corporate Business Plan.
  • Operationalizing strategy through process models.
  • Influencing IT planning to support strategy execution through aligned investments.
  • Guiding human resources alignment and employee performance management.
  • Facilitating risk and resilience assessments into business plans.
  • Defining operational dashboards based on strategic objectives and processes.
  • Contributing to the development of key plans like the Shareholder's Compact and Long-Term Plan.
  • Driving communication and development of aligned business plans.
  • Monitoring and reviewing divisional business plans and strategic initiatives for effectiveness and benefits realization.
  • Guiding risk management and adjusting strategies based on cause-and-effect testing.
  • Participating in organizational and functional strategy reviews.
  • Drive and coordinate effective strategy execution by:
    • Influencing leadership to take ownership of strategy execution.
    • Contextualizing the strategic change agenda across all organizational levels.
    • Facilitating leadership alignment and training programs.
    • Supporting the delivery of the Strategy and Planning portfolio, including policy implementation and benchmarking.
    Minimum Requirements

    B Degree / B Tech in Business Management, Finance, Commerce, Social Sciences, or Engineering at NQF 7 with Credits. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a strategy execution environment.
