Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide strategic design and independent, professional quality assurance to reduce risks for the organization and its clients.
This role involves working closely with the Director of Technology and the IT department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Function
- Provide strategic design and advice from the outset of any project from an Information Technology perspective.
- Offer strategic design advice and input on best maintenance and operational practices.
Operational Functions
- Ensure effective results-based management of IT database systems.
- Select and employ Knowledge Base System (KBS) to store decisions and advice during program implementation.
- Develop work plans with the IT Advisor and stakeholders regarding IT services.
- Supervise IT Advisors on database maintenance and plan upgrades.
- Collaborate with external consultants to formulate a Management Information System (MIS) that integrates data for management overview.
- Work with project officers and managers to align project objectives and incorporate new MOU/Guidelines into the system.
- Supervise the database maintenance with the Finance and Contract Administration Unit to ensure consistency in budgeting and planning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in IT, Informatics, or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience with NET Framework technology, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory is advantageous.
- Hardware/software troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose faults in PCs, printers, and networking equipment.
- Knowledge of hardware components, troubleshooting, and Microsoft desktop OS/software.
- Active Directory management skills.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, ICMP, and cabling skills.
- Ability to operate theatre equipment like sound and lighting systems.
- Problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
