Requirements :

  • Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF level 6)/ Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Environmental Management /Administration or Environmental related qualification as recognized by SAQA. 2 - 3 years relevant experience. A valid driver’s license. COMPETENCES: Knowledge of all relevant Environment Regulations, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations, Promotion of Administration Justice Act (PAJA), Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA). The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa. Skills: Planning and organizing. Service delivery innovation. Management skills. Report writing and Facilitation skills.

Duties :

  • Ensure screening of EIA Applications to Ensure Compliance with Minimum Submission Requirements Information. Receive EIA related applications. Peruse applications to check for compliance with minimum submission requirements. Examine the amendment application forms for the validity of Environmental Authorisations. Ensure that the application forms and reports comply with the minimal submission standards set forth in the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) Regulation. Liaise with Environmental Assessment Practitioners and Applicants. Compile statistics on Finalised Environmental Applications and Waste Applications, Line Function Responses, Land Use Applications, NEMA queries and Appeals. Provide Office and Administrative Support to the Sub-directorate. Supervise resources (Human/ Equipment/Assets)
