Job summary

Old Mutual Limited is seeking a Senior Actuarial Specialist to manage and oversee closed retail products within the Personal Finance segment. You will work across data, product rules, and regulatory changes while collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver fair customer outcomes.

You will lead actuarial modeling, rate reviews, and strategic projects, leveraging strong technical skills, communication, and accountability to drive improvements and growth in the Old Mutual retail book.

Qualifications

• Actuarial student progressing with actuarial exams.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong technical skills.
• Product experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing product management of existing closed products with actuarial oversight.
• Lead annual rate reviews across products.
• Compile data extracts and analyze product data for internal reporting.
• Assist with client complaints resolution and query management.
• Drive small projects to support data fixes, policy clean-ups and communications.
• Build and maintain actuarial models.
• Investigate product rules and feasibility studies; support product strategy.
• Collaborate on regulatory changes and industry standards implementations.
• Manage take-on of new closed product ranges within the team.
• Support BAU activities and governance across the product suite.
