Job summary

Waterkloof Glen, Pretoria: Senior Accounts Clerk position through Cora O'Neil Recruitment Agency. The role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary up to R20 000 gross per month; work hours Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. You will handle full accounting functions for a Retail Management Company, with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, VAT compliance, and monthly financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Matric and an accounting qualification preferred.
• Excellent communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Minimum 3 years accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, reconcilations and VAT.

Responsibilities

• Full accounting function for a Retail Management Company.
• Report to Financial Director; manage AR/AP and bank reconciliations.
• VAT compliance, monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Inventory, supplier management and general admin duties.

Non-negotiable Minimum Requirements

• Well presentable and reliable
• Afriékan and English first & second languages a must, with excellent communication skills in both
• Matric
• Tertiary financial/accounting qualification preferred
• Minimum 3 years recent Accounting/Bookkeeping experience a must (Bookkeeping, Debtors & Creditors, Recons, VAT etc.)
• Independently functional and able to meet deadlines
• Computer literate in MS Office with strong MS Excel proficiency, and Sage Intacct or similar accounting software
• Meticulous, strong attention to detail, strong math & financial skills, organizational and multitasking abilities
• Clear criminal record
• Able to multitask in a fast‑paced work environment
• Stable employment record and contactable employment references a must
• To start as soon as possible

Work hours: Mondays to Fridays from 8am-4pm

Duties

• Full accounting function for Retail Management Company, ensuring that accounting procedures run smoothly
• Report to Financial Director
• Accounts payable & receivable
• Bank & GL recons
• VAT and statutory compliance
• Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Uniform ordering, inventory management and supplier management
• General financial and admin duties

Salary: R 20 000 gross maximum
