Job Description

This role is in the Finance team in the Corporate Segment. It is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete accounting records, relevant reconciliations for the Corporate Segment, and Group Assurance (GAP) products. Responsibilities include monitoring financial reporting systems, preparing product reconciliations for financial reporting, maintaining controls, corrections, and reporting on accounting links to the ledger. The role also supports audit activities related to the specific product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Processing
  • Reconcile accounts regularly (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
  • Monitor and address reconciling items proactively to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide support and advice to team members.
  • Report account status and reconciling issues to management.
  • Reconcile debtor and creditor balances with the General Ledger and follow up on outstanding debts.
  • Ensure timely processing of receipts and journals.
  • Investigate and clear open items in control accounts.
  • Process payments and handle general account queries.
  • Investigate, correct, and report ledger entries.
  • Assist with audits related to the accounts.
Accounting Records
  • Maintain transaction records for the business unit.
  • Control, correct, and report on ledger links.
Personal Effectiveness
  • Manage own time, tasks, and quality of output.
  • Enhance skills and collaborate effectively.
  • Align with company values and balance priorities.
Job Requirements
  • Accounting qualification or studying towards one.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials.
  • Knowledge of COMPASS, OMUNET, RFA, or GAP products is advantageous.
  • Accurate reconciliation skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good planning and time management.
