Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for their client in Port Elizabeth. The role requires technical accounting expertise, including IFRS for SMEs, CaseWare, and strong leadership to coach and develop the finance team.

The successful candidate will prepare financial statements for various entities, review tax computations, and provide insights while delivering exceptional client service in a dynamic, growth‑oriented firm.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing financial statements for companies, trusts and individuals.
• Proficient in CaseWare working papers and related tax computations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high performance standards while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to develop team members and enhance performance.
• Prepare accurate, clear, and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts, and individuals.
• Apply sound technical expertise to analyze financial data and provide practical insights.
• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.
• Prepare and review tax computations in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
• Review work completed by junior team members and trainees, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and compliance.
