Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking an Accounting Supervisor for their client in Port Elizabeth. You will lead a small finance team, prepare accurate financial statements for companies, trusts and individuals, and ensure timely month-end close with compliant reporting.

The role requires IFRS for SME’s knowledge, CaseWare proficiency, and strong English and Afrikaans communication. You will review work of juniors, coach staff, and handle tax computations in line with SA standards while using MS

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs.
• Proficient in CaseWare working papers.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize duties.
• Team management skills.
• Strong communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
• Registered or eligible to register as Professional Accountant with SAIPA, Chartered Accountant or AGA(SA) with SAICA.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting (BCOM) or PGDA Post article experience advantageous.
• Technically competent in IT software including Microsoft Office and Pastel SAGE VIP experience advantageous.

• Prepare accurate, clear, and error-free financial statements for companies, close corporations, trusts, and individuals.

• Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.
• Prepare and review tax computations in accordance with applicable legislation and professional standards.
• Review work completed by junior team members and trainees, providing constructive feedback to ensure quality and compliance.
