Purpose of Job
Provide continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical/operational level, complete financial accounting reports, execute financial activities daily, and ensure the integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance for accurate monthly reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Timely preparation of finance lease payment runs
- Calculation preparation for CPI rentals and volume-related rentals
- Monthly journal and profit and loss report preparation
- Results presentation for monthly EXCO meetings with explanations
- Quarterly road levies calculations and submissions; annual audit during August
- Impairment calculations using group model (May and November)
- Implementation of OneStream for IFRS16 leases
- Review of quarterly contracts register
- Assist with monthly EXCO presentation
- Ensure GL account integrity and proper ledger structure
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules for GL accounts
- Manage monthly income statements and ensure alignment with SAP and management reporting tools like HFM and Onestream
- Identify and address technical issues promptly
- Year-end and half-year-end reporting, including CPI remeasurement calculations, impairment reviews, and SOX testing
- Manage lease-related journal entries and disclosures
- Participate in operational excellence initiatives and automation improvements
- Maintain strong governance and compliance, including internal controls, audit and SOX compliance, and policy adherence
Formal Education
4-year university Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent
Working Experience
Minimum 6+ years relevant experience
Certification
CA or CIMA preferred
