Purpose of Job

Provide continuous input into financial and business decision-making at tactical/operational level, complete financial accounting reports, execute financial activities daily, and ensure the integrity of the General Ledger and Trial Balance for accurate monthly reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Timely preparation of finance lease payment runs
  2. Calculation preparation for CPI rentals and volume-related rentals
  3. Monthly journal and profit and loss report preparation
  4. Results presentation for monthly EXCO meetings with explanations
  5. Quarterly road levies calculations and submissions; annual audit during August
  6. Impairment calculations using group model (May and November)
  7. Implementation of OneStream for IFRS16 leases
  8. Review of quarterly contracts register
  9. Assist with monthly EXCO presentation
  10. Ensure GL account integrity and proper ledger structure
  11. Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules for GL accounts
  12. Manage monthly income statements and ensure alignment with SAP and management reporting tools like HFM and Onestream
  13. Identify and address technical issues promptly
  14. Year-end and half-year-end reporting, including CPI remeasurement calculations, impairment reviews, and SOX testing
  15. Manage lease-related journal entries and disclosures
  16. Participate in operational excellence initiatives and automation improvements
  17. Maintain strong governance and compliance, including internal controls, audit and SOX compliance, and policy adherence

Formal Education

4-year university Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent

Working Experience

Minimum 6+ years relevant experience

Certification

CA or CIMA preferred
