Woolworths Financial Services follows a Work-in-Hybrid work structure which requires employees to work from home for the majority of their time with some rotation into office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for the internal and external monthly financial reporting including :
- Preparation of the monthly financial reports in order provide the business and external stakeholders with accurate management accounts, , insightful financial & commercial analysis, and variance analysis
- Ensuring that the quarterly financial reporting to ABSA and Woolworths is complete, accurate, delivered on time and in accordance with their reporting requirements and IFRS.
- Manage and provide oversight over the half year and annual reporting requirements to ABSA and Woolworths is complete, accurate, delivered on time and in accordance with IFRS.
- Automation of the current manual reports and making recommendations to improve reporting processes
- Effective engagement with relevant stakeholders (internal business and external shareholders).
Requirements
Technical Skills (essential) :
- Financial accounting (IFRS) – recording of financial transactions
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Business and commercial understanding including analytical ability to identify key value drivers and measures of success
- Advantage if has financial modelling skills including building of robust financial models based on business value drivers, including income statements, cash flows, balance sheets, financial metrics and KPIs
- Understand financial processes and systems (General Ledger, Sub-ledgers and Budgeting etc.)
Behavioural Skills :
- Strong communication skills to support effective stakeholder communication
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Team player
- Time management skills to effectively deliver multiple tasks to deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Relevant Financial qualification e.g. BCom Finance / B. Bus. Sci. / or equivalent
- CA (SA)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2 years (post-articles) experience with Financial / Management accounting experience and / or financial reporting and / or advisory experience.
