Senior Accountant / Financial Manager required in Stellenbosch.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant/ Financial Manager for a permanent position based in Stellenbosch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial functions across multiple entities, including philanthropic, family office and investment entities.
- Process creditors, debtors, cashbooks and bank reconciliations.
- Process monthly journals, including salaries, depreciation and accruals.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and budget-versus-actual analysis.
- Manage VAT reconciliations and SARS submissions.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany transactions.
- Manage bank payments, general ledger reconciliations and trial balance reviews.
- Prepare annual Opex and Capex budgets and board reporting packs.
- Oversee annual returns, statutory requirements and audit file preparation.
- Manage cash flow, loan accounts and philanthropic project expenditure.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; advanced qualification advantageous.
- Proven financial management, budgeting and compliance experience.
- Experience within philanthropic or nonprofit organisations.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, statutory requirements and reporting.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficient in financial software, spreadsheets and data management.
- Strong business acumen and commercial thinking.
- Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to manage multiple entities, deadlines and priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
