Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Lead Accountant in Randburg to lead a 5-person team and own the full accounting and reporting function. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage international entities, and oversee VAT and statutory compliance in a fast-paced professional services environment.

The role requires CA(SA) or SAICA/CIMA/SAIPA articles, 3+ years post-articles, and 1–2 years of people management experience. Strong technical accounting and cash-flow forecasting are essential.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification preferred
• SAICA, CIMA or SAIPA articles considered
• 3+ years post-articles experience
• 1–2 years' experience managing people
• Experience with international entities
• Strong technical accounting and reporting experience
• Solid VAT and statutory knowledge
• Cash-flow management and forecasting experience
• Experience in fast-paced consulting environment
• Experience in professional services or engineering consulting advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of finance professionals
• Own the full accounting and reporting function
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Oversee VAT, statutory compliance and tax-related requirements
• Forecast cash flow and manage working capital
• Review trial balances, reconciliations and general ledger activities
• Drive month-end and year-end reporting
• Provide technical accounting input and guidance
• Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Monitor project profitability, billing and recoveries
• Align finance with operations in consulting business
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and broader initiatives
