1. Qualifications: B-Comm in Accounting Sciences, Finance, or an equivalent completed qualification.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years relevant accounting experience. Preference for candidates with experience in insurance, services, or construction sectors.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage Pastel Payroll and Sage Pastel Partner; experience with Zoho Accounting, Zoho Inventory, and ServiceM8 is a plus. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
4. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Self-motivated with initiative. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the CFO and Directors, the Senior Accountant oversees financial and operational activities, ensuring accurate reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This dynamic role requires strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management
2. Payroll Processing
3. Bank Payments and Reconciliations
4. General Ledger Management
5. Tax and Regulatory Compliance: Manage and submit VAT returns, PAYE, EMP reconciliations, income tax, and provisional tax returns, ensuring SARS compliance.
6. Handle regulatory submissions such as OID and CIPC annual returns.
