Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in various accounting software, including Draftworx / Caseware and Xero. Additionally, proficiency in VAT calculation and submissions, PAYE submissions, and Efiling is essential. The candidate should be SAIPA registered and demonstrate exceptional IT and consultation skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Utilize expertise in Draftworx / Caseware for efficient financial reporting and compliance.
2. Act as a consultant for Income Tax-related matters, providing guidance and solutions for any disputes or issues.
3. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and compliance with relevant tax laws.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
5. Provide training and support to junior staff members.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. SAIPA registration is mandatory.
3. Proven experience in working with Draftworx / Caseware and Xero.
4. Expertise in VAT calculation and submissions, PAYE submissions, and Efiling.
5. Exceptional Income Tax skills with the ability to provide consultations and resolve disputes.
6. Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office Suite.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
9. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
