Placements24 is recruiting an experienced Accountant to join a Paarl-based finance team. The role focuses on maintaining the general ledger, producing financial statements, and managing AP/AR with strong GAAP knowledge.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a relevant degree, and proficiency in Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks with advanced Excel skills. SAIPA/SAICA articles are highly preferred. Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• SAIPA/SAICA articles completed is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a general accounting role.
• Proficiency in Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and advanced Excel.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Excellent organizational skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger with accurate financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
