Job summary

A financial services organization based in Johannesburg is seeking a Finance Manager to ensure financial integrity and stability. Responsibilities include leading the finance team, managing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Qualifications

Job description

Purpose of the job:

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the financial integrity and stability of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accurately report on the financial performance and position of the organisation.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial operations and reporting, including the implementation of approved financial controls.
  • Cost management.
  • Ensure statutory compliance of the organisation (taxes, audits, CISAC, etc.).
  • Risk management, including fraud mitigation.
  • Embed and promote the company's values within the finance team.
  • Lead the finance operational department.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Team player.
  • Strong numerical ability.
  • Deadline-driven.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:

  • NQF 8 accounting qualification.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).
  • At least 5 years of proven experience leading a finance team or department.
  • Strategic planning and execution skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Computer skills: intermediate Excel proficiency; Sage experience is a plus.
