SUMMARY :

Join a leading cloud accounting firm as a Senior Accountant, responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to clients. This hybrid role is based in Johannesburg and involves working with platforms like SageOne and Xero. Ideal for a qualified, tech-savvy accountant with strong analytical and reporting skills.

POSITION INFO :

Prepare, review, and finalize monthly management accounts for a portfolio of clients

Ensure full compliance with SARS and statutory requirements (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, etc.)

Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations

Prepare and submit annual financial statements and working papers

Conduct internal audits and variance analysis

Optimize use of cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g. SageOne, Xero)

Provide strategic financial advice and insights to clients

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning

Support junior accounting staff and contribute to training where required

Skills & Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

SAIPA qualification (or equivalent professional certification)

Valid and up-to-date professional membership

Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant accounting experience

Strong knowledge of South African tax and compliance regulations

Proven experience with SageOne, Xero, and other cloud accounting systems

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Must be based in Johannesburg and willing to work on-site as needed
