Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Accounting & Compliance
2. In-depth understanding and application of IFRS and IAS, especially IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
3. Perform detailed technical research and produce memoranda or policy documents.
4. Provide guidance on accounting treatment and disclosures.

1. Treasury & Forex Management
2. Manage daily treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and cash utilization.
3. Oversee Forex transactions and credit card spend management.

1. General Ledger & Financial Control
2. Maintain General Ledger integrity and manage month-end and year-end closes.
3. Perform reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and petty cash.

1. Fixed Assets Management
2. Maintain Fixed Asset Register, oversee asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.

1. Cashbook Oversight
2. Manage the FACS cashbook system and maintain relationships with service providers.

1. Budgeting
2. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning.

1. Financial Reporting & Audits
2. Assist in preparing financial statements and coordinate audit requests.

1. Taxation Management
2. Prepare tax packs, manage corporate tax functions, VAT, and compliance.

1. Financial Analysis & Variance Reporting
2. Conduct monthly income statement reviews and provide analysis for management.

Minimum Requirements

• Bcom Accounting Honours or SAICA articles
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 in a senior or supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, and treasury functions
