Job summary

Objective Personnel is seeking a dedicated Accountant to manage financials for two subsidiaries based in Meyersdal. You will prepare and maintain fixed asset registers, perform monthly reporting, and assist with budgets and forecasts while ensuring accuracy of journals and cashbooks.

The role requires 3 years post-articles experience, advanced Excel, and experience with Sage and Xero. Travel between Meyersdal, Isando, and Vanderbijlpark is required and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree required.
• 3 years post articles experience.
• SAICA/SAIPA articles preferable; professional membership an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated Accountant for 2 subsidiaries within a Group of Companies.
• Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers.
• Monthly reporting.
• Maintain and update budgets and forecasts.
• Review payments.
• Weekly revenue and debtors reports.
• Year-end reports and packs.
• Assist and support the Financial Manager.
• Responsible for all journals.
• Compile General Ledger reconciliations and reviews.
• Processing and maintaining cashbooks.
• Prepare monthly tax returns for approval.
