Senior Account Manager

Reports to :

Regional Executive

Total Staff in Function : 20

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :

Internal : Procurement, Sales Operations, Brand Operations, Account Managers, Systems Engineers / Presales, Marketing, Logistics, Regional Managers
External : Vendor, Resellers, End Users, Vendor Alliance Partners

Main Purpose of Position :

Acting as a partner senior account manager and advocate with a focus on relationship building, business development, and improving the buyer experience.

Key Performance Areas (KPA) & Standards :

  1. Driving gross profit targets through resellers.
  2. Selling First Distribution's product portfolio within existing resellers.
  3. Recruitment of new resellers.
  4. Display key competencies of product knowledge and brand programs across relevant portfolio.
  5. Conducting business review sessions with brand managers.
  6. Bi-weekly sales review with line manager.
  7. Monthly sales review with General Manager: Networks.
  8. Drive sales strategy and overview sessions with resellers.
  9. Onboarding process within accounts: operational, sales, technical processes.
  10. Build and manage relationships with team members and resellers.
  11. Ensure execution of business plans with line manager and brand managers.
  12. Identify and qualify new deals and partners to maintain pipeline and target coverage.
  13. Report opportunity details to line manager and brand managers regularly.
  14. Achieve sales targets and report deviations with explanations.
  15. Ensure targeted profit margins and brand rebates are achieved.
  16. Adhere to call plans and report weekly activities and meetings.
  17. Submit sales reports and forecasts to line manager.
  18. Engage with resellers and brand managers on marketing initiatives.
  19. Maintain strategic account plans for each account.
  20. Resolve queries and escalations effectively.

REQUIREMENTS :

Internal training during the first week, designed to guide you through your onboarding process.

Minimum Qualifications : Technology Diploma, Degree, or equivalent. Mainstream Technology Distribution experience (e.g., selling to IT resellers). CRM System Administration. 3-5 years of IT account management/sales experience within the IT distribution industry.

Nice-to-have Skills : Self-motivation, strong communication, relationship management, initiative, calmness under pressure.

Office Requirements : Office-based, semi-formal dress code, working hours 08:00-17:00, excellent English skills, reliable transport.

Note :

This is a permanent position with a three-month probation. Duties may be amended as required. You are expected to perform your duties diligently and promote the company's interests. Flexibility to work outside normal duties may be required.
