Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior 3D Modeler to join its architectural visualization team in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). You will create highly realistic 3D models of buildings, interiors, and landscapes based on plans and references, collaborating with architects, designers, and render artists to communicate design intent.

Responsibilities include modeling from blueprints, optimizing for rendering performance, and applying realistic textures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, or SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and construction methods.
• Experience with texturing and material creation using Substance Painter or Photoshop.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and accurate 3D models of buildings, furniture, and environments from blueprints and design documents.
• Optimize models for performance in rendering engines and real-time applications.
• Develop and apply realistic textures and materials to enhance model fidelity.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure models accurately reflect architectural intent and design specifications.
• Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all modeling work produced.
