Placements24 is seeking a Senior 3D Animator and Visual Effects Artist based in Rustenburg, with remote collaboration across a distributed team. You will push visual storytelling through advanced animation and VFX for film, advertising, and interactive media.

The role requires a strong artistic sensibility, deep software knowledge, and a passion for cutting-edge digital art. Collaborate with directors and artists on high-profile projects from Rustenburg and beyond.

Qualificações

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a 3D Animator and VFX Artist.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D and related renderers (V-Ray, Arnold, Octane).
• Expertise in Houdini, After Effects, Nuke and particle/simulation systems.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, lighting, composition and cinematography.
• Excellent artistic eye and attention to detail; able to work remotely with a distributed team.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate ideas and technical solutions.
• Experience with scripting (Python) for automation is a plus.
• Degree in Animation or related field preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Create high-quality 3D animations, character rigs and environments for various media projects.
• Develop and implement VFX including particles, simulations, compositing and motion graphics.
• Collaborate with directors and artists to translate briefs into visuals.
• Model, texture, and light 3D scenes to achieve desired aesthetics.
• Optimize assets for efficient rendering and performance.
• Work with multiple render engines and compositing software.
• Maintain consistent style and quality across projects.
• Participate in creative reviews and adapt based on feedback.
• Stay updated on industry trends and techniques in 3D and VFX.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in animation and production pipelines.
