Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior 3D Animator & Technical Artist for a fully remote role. You will create high-quality 3D animations and assist in the technical implementation and optimization of assets within the game engine.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in 3D animation and technical art for games, with expertise in Maya/3ds Max/Blender, rigging, and real-time pipelines in Unreal Engine or Unity. This is a remote position supporting a global studio from your home office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of 3D animation and technical art experience in games.
• Proficiency in character rigging and facial animation workflows.
• Experience with real-time rendering pipelines and game engines.

Responsibilities

• Create character and environment animations including motion capture cleanup.
• Develop and maintain optimized character rigs for performance.
• Collaborate with designers to define animation requirements and visuals.
• Optimize assets for Unreal Engine or Unity real-time rendering.
• Develop shaders, materials and lighting to achieve visuals.
• Troubleshoot animation, rigging and asset integration issues.
• Assist in building technical art pipelines and tools to improve workflows.
• Stay updated on latest 3D animation and real-time tech trends.
• Provide guidance and support to the art team remotely.
