Job Overview

The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Foreman.

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)
  • Read electrical drawings, plan the assembling of components, and execute as per Engineering standards and procedures;
  • Repair and assemble sub-components for machines/ electrical panels;
  • To assemble electrical sub-components according to customer or KMC specifications;
  • Understand and implement the company’s safety standard and must adhere to zero harm;
  • Make sure a job is completed within the time given and deadlines.

Minimum Skills Required
  • N3 – N6 Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering qualification;
  • Technical drawing proficiency: read electrical schematic and wiring drawings to determine operations, required material, and time frames for projects;
  • Must have experience of working in a heavy manufacturing industry;
  • Valid Flameproof Certificate advantageous;
  • Valid crane license advantageous.
Additional Attributes
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and fabrication standards;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans;
  • Proven ability to work both independently and within a team under tight schedules;
  • Physically fit and capable of working in demanding environments.
