Job summary

Farm Manager SA is seeking a senior candidate for Seed Production Research & Trial Management in South Africa. This role focuses on leading field trials, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring quality control across seed production processes.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in agronomy and seed production, with proven leadership and project management skills. This position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Seed Science, Crop Science, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, or related field.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural research, seed production, or agronomy.
• Proven experience in managing field trials and analyzing agronomic data.
• Exposure to hybrid seed production operations is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management capability.
• Strong knowledge of seed production systems, crop management, and certification processes.
• Proficiency in research design, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Analytical, results-driven, and problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
