Responsibilities

  • Assist with installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.
  • Conduct inspections and remove obstructions from electric fence.
  • Perform First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required.
  • Keep records of all tasks conducted.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions.

Job description

The Medipost Group Risk Department requires a well-presented, disciplined, professional, and responsible Security Technical Assistant registered at PSIRA, who understands the Company risk requirements and executes daily duties to proactively curb risk or loss and enhance risk prevention. The Security Technical Assistant must be highly observant and must have the ability to objectively identify and communicate risk concerns regarding CCTV issues and other technical matters, either verbally or in writing and reports. The individual also has to protect the Company’s property and personnel by maintaining a safe, risk-free, and secure environment.

Primary purpose of the job
  • Assist with installation of cameras.
  • Pulling of camera cables.
  • Cleaning of cameras, DVR, and NVR.
  • Replacing faulty cameras.
  • Assist in keeping an inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Keep records of all tasks conducted.
  • Alarms – replacing passive, fault finding, and reporting.
  • Assist with testing panics every week and repairing faults.
  • Test electric fence.
  • Inspect and remove all obstructions from the electric fence.
  • Adherence to Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Legal Regulations.
  • Perform First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required.
  • Mandatory attendance of daily roll call/parades.
  • Mandatory attendance of company training sessions.
  • Meet competency benchmarks for training assessments.
  • Continuous learning and growth (Personal Development Plan).
  • Pass periodic polygraph, psychometric, and risk assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM

  • Grade 12

  • Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in the Security Industry.
