Placements24 seeks a skilled Security Systems Installation Technician to join our Mahikeng-based team. You will design, install, and maintain CCTV, alarm, access control, and related hardware for residential and commercial clients, ensuring safe and reliable system operation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and a strong problem solver with good communication and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Installation Technician specializing in security systems.
Solid understanding of electronic security principles and technologies.
Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electronic installations.
Ability to read and interpret system diagrams and blueprints.
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Install and configure various security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, and intercoms.
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling for security system installations.
Test and commission installed systems to ensure full functionality and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair existing security systems, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
Provide clients with clear explanations of system operation and basic maintenance guidance.
Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and inventory.
