A leading security support organization is seeking a Security Specialist to provide comprehensive personnel and physical security to the 7th Air Force Special Security Office. Candidates must have active TS/SCI clearance and significant DoD security experience, especially in military environments. This role ensures protection of sensitive information across the Korean theater and involves processing access requests and compliance oversight. Competitive salary range from $80,600 to $145,700.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance on day one.
  • At least 8 years of total Security experience.
  • 5+ years of DoD security experience in military environments.
  • Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 2 & 3.
  • Experience with DIA SCIF authorization processes.

Overview

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Security Specialist to provide comprehensive personnel and physical security support to the 7th Air Force Special Security Office (SSO). This role ensures the protection of sensitive information, personnel, and facilities across the Korean theater, supporting SCI access control, policy development, and compliance oversight. You will process TS//SCI visit access requests, verify clearances, and perform SCI indoctrination on personnel eligible for SCI. You will work with Defense Counter-Intelligence Agency Consolidated Adjudications Services (DCSA CAS) to process SCI eligibility and address derogatory information discovered during investigation/reporting/discovery. This position requires knowledge and understanding of DoD/AF security practices and procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to support our nation in the Pacific.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the 7 AF SCI Personnel and Physical Security Programs
  • Conduct SCI indoctrinations and manage access control for 7 AF SCI personnel and SCIFs
  • Monitor personnel systems (DISS/Scattered Castles) for clearance and derogatory information
  • Coordinate escorts, perform regular audits, inspections
  • Develop and review SCIF documentation (e.g., FFC, TEMPEST, CSP, MSP)
  • Process TS//SCI visit requests and liaise with DCSA CAS for eligibility and adjudication
  • Provide training and updates to 7 AF and subordinate personnel
  • Support Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections
Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance on day one
  • At least 8 years of total Security experience
  • 5+ years of DoD security experience in military environments
  • Associate’s Degree or additional relevant certifications in lieu of
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and DoD clearance systems (DISS, Scattered Castles)
  • Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and DoDM 5105.21 Vols 2 & 3
  • Experience with DIA SCIF authorization processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a security-related field
  • SPeD Security Fundamentals Certification
  • ICD 705 Site Security Manager (SSM) Certification
  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification
  • PMP Certification

Pay Range: $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
