Job summary

A leading security services company in Cape Town is seeking a Site Manager to oversee security operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in security management, a PSIRA Grade A certification, and strong leadership skills. This position offers a salary between R25k – R35k per month.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade A certification is compulsory.

• Clear criminal record is required.

• Must be computer literate.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and incident reporting required.
• Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license is advantageous.
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English is needed.

Main job function

To manage and oversee all on-site security operations at the client site, ensuring professional, effective, and compliant delivery of security services. The Site Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of guards, maintaining client satisfaction, and ensuring full compliance with PSIRA and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff Management: Supervise and manage the team of security guards on-site. Handle rosters, attendance, and performance issues.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for the client. Attend regular meetings and address any service concerns promptly.
• Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all guards are PSIRA registered and site operations comply with PSIRA regulations and internal SOPs.
• Training & Development: Conduct on-site training and briefings. Identify training needs and support guard development.
• Incident Handling: Respond to and investigate incidents or breaches. Compile and submit reports to management and the client.
• Reporting & Administration: Maintain daily occurrence books, incident logs, and submit required documentation on time.
• Health & Safety: Ensure that guards follow health and safety protocols. Report any hazards or risks to the client and management.
• Site Inspections: Perform regular checks to ensure posts are manned, guards are presentable, and equipment is functioning.

Salary

R25k – R35k per month
