A leading company in the security sector is seeking a Security Supervisor in Johannesburg. The role involves daily inspections, staff training, and ensuring security standards are met. Candidates should have a Grade 12 certificate, 5 years of supervisory experience, and be PSIRA Grade A registered.
POSITION REQUIREMENTSDaily inspection of security equipment and arrange for repairs or calibration where neededMaintain security standardsConduct weekly searches and locker searchesCCTV reviewsTraining of security staffReport writingIncident / accident investigationsLiaise with clients and external role playersDeployment of security staffOrganise and supervise Security escort drivers for high value loads or upon requestCommunicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems to ManagementConduct site investigation and report on findingsOversee asset protection of both customers and staff as well as prevent theft and inventory / stock lossRespond to bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms by following emergency response proceduresIdentify, investigate, or resolve security breaches and coordinate appropriate responseConduct regular risk assessments together with ManagementLiaise with other departments and communicate the weekend schedules to Management and the relevant departmentsCompile the daily load dispatch document and send to Management and to the Finance DepartmentCompile the daily attendance report and send to Management and Human ResourcesQUALIFYING CRITERIA A minimum Grade 12 certificate or equivalent5 years supervisory experience in the Security SectorComputer literate – full Microsoft suite and CCTV programsReport writing skillsInvestigative skillsDrivers license and own, reliable transport is essentialPSIRA Grade A registeredQUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES Ability to liaise professionally with Customers, suppliers and colleaguesHard working and self-motivatedStrong interpersonal skillsTime management and organisation skillsGood communication skillsFlexible and willing to work overtimeDisciplined to apply Company policies and proceduresWilling to work irregular hours and overtimeIn good health and physical statureWe regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
