NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES: GUARDING DIVISION
Position Overview
The New Business Development department seeks to employ a New Business Development Representative in the East Rand area. The overall purpose of this position is to seek new business through networks, forge and sustain good relations with clients, and maintain and grow an existing client base by offering comprehensive end-to-end integrated risk mitigation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, cost, propose, and present complex integrated security solutions to both existing and new clients, covering the full spectrum of the Group's offerings.
- Accountability for client growth and proactively increasing turnover through existing clients and new business acquisition.
- Achieve revenue targets by meeting sales goals, which may vary as per business requirements and management discretion.
- Secure profitable new business through cold calling and other means.
- Attend to potential clients across different areas.
- Address and resolve client queries promptly.
- Conduct site surveys for security requirements.
- Prepare and present complex proposals and ensure timely submission of quotations.
- Build and maintain professional client relationships.
- Plan, budget, coordinate, and address client requirements.
- Assist with marketing activities and submit weekly and monthly management reports.
- Acquire in-depth trade and competitor knowledge.
- Ensure all contracts and quotations are complete with necessary documentation.
- Use only approved equipment in line with company policies.
- Identify and develop sales opportunities within specific markets.
Minimum Requirements
- Sales diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven sales experience, with at least 5 years in a similar role.
- Experience in security sales (3-4 years) is essential.
- PSIRA Grading is advantageous.
- Fully bilingual; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and extended hours if needed.
- Previous experience in the security industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Clear criminal record and no pending cases.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Willingness to travel and reside in the East Rand area.
