Job description

A vacancy exists for an Operations Manager at our Mbombela branch.

Purpose of the role :

Reporting to the Area Manager, the overall purpose of this position is to manage several operations, covering key areas such as client liaison, HR/IR matters, fleet management, expenses control, investigations, and ensuring the posting of security officers. The role involves ensuring all site security requirements are met and that clients' needs are efficiently and professionally addressed at all times.

Minimum Requirements :
  • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. PSIRA Grade A registration.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transport.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the security industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational security management.
  • Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • No criminal record or pending cases.
  • Strong planning, administration, interpersonal, and client liaison skills.
  • Leadership and organizational skills, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management standards.
  • Reside in Mbombela.

  • Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and clients regarding security services.
  • Managing allocated areas to meet contractual requirements.
  • Ensuring security officers meet contractual standards.
  • Evaluating service levels and recommending improvements.
  • Managing and supervising security staff to ensure performance standards.
  • Handling administrative tasks effectively.
  • Communicating daily with management and regional management on operational issues.
  • Addressing HR-related queries and formulating disciplinary actions.
  • Submitting employment forms and incident reports timely.
  • Investigating incidents and reporting findings.
  • Applying knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Management System.
