Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Maidstone Campus. The role involves maintaining safety across the site, acting as a first point of contact, and monitoring security and fire systems to respond to incidents.

You will support a safe working environment, manage access and patrols, and uphold high customer service standards. Right to Work in the UK and a valid SIA Licence are essential, with prior security experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Previous experience in a security role is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel, and visitors across the site.

• Support a safe working environment by following Health & Safety policies and reporting hazards, damage, or defects.

About The Role

Days of Working: This position will be based at Maidstone Campus - Mid Kent College, working 35 - 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Shift timings are 14:00 - 22:00 & 15:00 - 22:00

Becoming a Security Officer at OCS offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across a busy client site. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting people, property, and assets, while delivering a professional and approachable service to all employees and visitors.

You will be part of a team that takes pride in high standards, strong customer service, and proactive security management, ensuring the site operates safely and efficiently at all times.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the safety and security of buildings, personnel, and visitors across the site

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria

• Must have the Right to Work in the UK and ability to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Valid SIA Licence
• Previous experience in a security role
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
