Introduction

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Security Manager to lead and manage all aspects of security at our production facility in Johannesburg South. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FMCG or food production environments, a proactive approach to risk management, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant workplace.

Duties & Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Lead security operations for the protection of people, assets, and stock.

• Identify security risks and develop solutions to prevent loss or theft.

• Appoint, manage, and assess third-party security service providers.

• Train staff on safety and security procedures.

• Set and manage departmental budgets.

• Assist with emergency planning and crisis response.

• Compile investigation reports and provide updates to management.

• Oversee investigations, monitor incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Processes & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and review security policies and procedures.

• Respond effectively to alarms, threats, and emergency scenarios.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and national legislation.

• Conduct audits and physical inspections to ensure security standards are met.

• Prepare incident documentation and security-related reports.

Additional Requirements:

• Working knowledge of SANS codes, corporate governance, and legal frameworks.

• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.

• Confident in engaging with stakeholders at various levels.

• Must be assertive, diplomatic, and solutions-focused.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Security, Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.

• At least 5 years’ experience in a security management role.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in security compliance systems.

• FMCG or production industry experience is essential.

• Solid knowledge of South African legislation and industry regulations.

• Experience in access control systems, investigations, and surveillance technology.

Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
