Job Description: Security Manager
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's security operations, developing strategies, and establishing procedures to enhance security within the organization.
Security Responsibilities:
- Manage asset protection for personnel and property, preventing theft and inventory loss.
- Analyze security operations to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise recruitment and appointment of security personnel and contractors.
- Train staff on security protocols and procedures.
- Set and manage budgets for security activities.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences to stay updated on legislative changes and new security technologies.
- Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations on investigations, losses, or policy violations.
- Communicate security updates and potential issues using established protocols.
- Participate in site investigations and report findings.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff performance.
Procedures and Processes:
- Create and implement security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Draft and review security-related documents, including incident reports and strategic proposals.
- Respond appropriately to threats, fire alarms, and intrusion alarms following emergency protocols.
- Recommend access control procedures.
- Investigate and resolve security breaches, coordinating responses accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, licensing, and government security requirements.
- Conduct physical inspections to verify adherence to security policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in managerial security roles.
- Key skills include Crisis Management, IDS, FedRAMP, ICD Coding, Military Experience, PCI, Business Management, Conflict Management, NIST Standards, Security, Information Security, Encryption.
