Job Description

The Security Leader will oversee the hotel's internal security services and ensure that outsourced security providers meet Hyde/Accor standards. The role is responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets by creating a secure environment that prioritizes the safety, security, and well-being of all stakeholders, including employees, guests, tenants, and investors.

This position collaborates closely with hotel leadership to ensure smooth operational security management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing security teams
  • At least 5 years in facility or workplace security
  • Diploma or certification in security, law enforcement, or related fields (advantageous)
  • Relevant safety certifications such as NOSA, SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, fire safety, and first aid
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of South African legislation related to criminal law, security, occupational health and safety, event management, and fire safety
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to handle multiple demands
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Strong leadership qualities
