Job Description

The Security Leader is responsible for delivering internal security services and overseeing outsourced security providers to ensure compliance with Hyde/Accor standards. The role focuses on protecting people, property, and assets by creating a safe environment for all stakeholders, including employees, guests, tenants, and investors.

The Security Leader works closely with hotel management to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing security
• At least 5 years in facility or workplace security
• Diploma or certification in security, law enforcement, or related fields (advantageous)
• Occupational health & safety certifications such as NOSA/SAMTRAC/NEBOSH (highly regarded)
• Fire safety and first aid certifications
• Ability to adapt to a multinational environment
• Knowledge of South African legislation related to criminal law, security, occupational health & safety, fire safety, and event management
• Flexible and adaptable in changing circumstances
• Capable of managing multiple demands simultaneously
• Comfortable operating under short-notice demands
• Proactive in anticipating future scenarios and planning accordingly
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective communication skills in English
