Job Description

The Security Leader will be responsible for delivering internal security services and overseeing outsourced security companies to ensure external security aligns with Hyde/Accor standards. This role focuses on protecting people, property, and assets by creating a safe environment for all stakeholders, including employees, guests, tenants, and investors.

The role involves close collaboration with hotel leadership to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience managing security
• At least 5 years in facility/workplace security
• Diploma or certification in security programs or law enforcement (advantageous)
• Relevant occupational health & safety certifications (e.g., NOSA, SAMTRAC, NEBOSH)
• Fire safety and first aid certifications
• Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment
• Knowledge of South African legislation related to criminal law, security, occupational health & safety, fire safety, and event management
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work demands
• Strong multitasking and proactive planning skills
• Comfortable working under short-notice demands
• Ability to anticipate future scenarios and plan accordingly
• Alignment with organizational values and culture
• Effective communication skills in English
• Strong leadership qualities
