Position : Security Guard

Key responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for safety and security of designated areas.
• Patrolling designated areas as per security procedures.
• Identifying potential security risks and responding appropriately.
• Completing incident reports and documentation for security incidents.
• Managing access credentials for employees and visitors.
• Responding promptly to emergencies and incidents.
• Escalating situations to law enforcement when necessary.
• Monitoring alarms and security cameras.
• Patrolling buildings and grounds periodically.
• Securing premises by patrolling, monitoring surveillance, inspecting access points, and permitting entry.
• Sounding alarms and obtaining help when needed.
• Reporting irregularities, informing violators of policies, and restraining trespassers to prevent losses.
• Directing traffic as required.
• Recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities accurately.
• Monitoring and controlling building and equipment environments.
• Maintaining attendance and patrol records accurately.

Required skills and attributes:

• Matric certificate and minimum 2 years’ experience as a security guard.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
