Job summary

Anonymous is seeking an Information Security Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based out of Tembisa. This remote-first role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure that protects digital assets with a proactive cybersecurity mindset in a globally distributed environment.

You will design, deploy, and maintain security controls, collaborate with virtual teams to champion best practices, and drive security across the software

Qualifications

• 3+ years in information security engineering or similar role.
• Experience with security technologies and tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR).
• Strong understanding of networks, OS (Windows/Linux) and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus.
• Excellent communication for a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security).
• Develop and automate security processes (vulnerability scanning, patch management, incident response workflows).
• Conduct security audits and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development/ops to integrate security into SDLC.
• Monitor logs, investigate incidents, and manage response.
