Placements24 is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer for a fully remote role. You will design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure to protect digital assets and respond to advanced threats from anywhere, supporting a Centurion-based client.

You will work on cutting-edge security solutions, manage tools, and drive proactive security improvements across cloud environments and on-premises setups. Collaboration across teams is essential for resilient security operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Computer Engineering or Information Security.
• 4+ years of experience in a cyber security engineering role or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-prem security.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence feeds.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Conduct security architecture reviews and provide improvement recommendations.
• Develop and automate security workflows and processes via scripting.
• Perform threat hunting to identify and neutralize risks.
• Respond to security incidents and coordinate remediation efforts across teams.
• Maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
