SA Metal is seeking a highly organised administrator to support the Security Manager and team at our Gauteng Head Office. The role blends systems administration, compliance tracking, vendor and financial admin, and reporting, requiring ownership and the ability to keep multiple tasks on track.
The ideal candidate will have Grade 12, at least 2 years in administration, strong MS Office skills (Excel), and familiarity with procurement processes.
SA Metal is looking for a highly organised, detail-driven administrator to provide administrative and office support to the
Security Manager and the wider Security team at our Gauteng Head Office. This is a varied, hands-on role that blends
systems administration, compliance tracking, vendor and financial admin, and reporting — ideal for someone who
enjoys structure, ownership, and keeping multiple moving parts on track.
Manage security systems, including access control and daily Smartsheet functions, as well as maintaining the security task roster.
Maintain PSIRA compliance and regional second-hand goods/recycling certifications.
Compile monthly security audit reports, quarterly polygraph costings and analysis, and coordinate polygraph testing for branches.
Validate security supplier invoices and overtime submissions, and coordinate approvals with Procurement and Finance.
Maintain credit note and savings trackers and compile monthly security costing reports.
Manage procurement of security items and uniforms and maintain departmental stock levels, including quarterly stock counts.
Manage security officer timesheets, daily attendance records, leave/AOD requests, and weekend work schedules.
Capture fleet logbooks and escort trip sheets for HR reimbursement and monitor company vehicles.
Coordinate general HR and fleet administration for the Security department.
Compile and distribute daily night reports, alarm notifications, and off-site monitoring summaries.
Maintain departmental records, filing, branch key registers, and meeting minutes.
Submit and track C-Works requests through to completion and generate security customer numbers in conjunction with Reception.
Grade 12
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in in an administrative role
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, for reporting and reconciliation
SAGE Accpac experience would be advantageous
A relevant certificate or diploma in Procurement and Stores Management will be advantageous
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solution driven and risk preventative
High accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Have own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
