Job summary

Recruitify_HR is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to lead multidisciplinary teams delivering major water infrastructure projects in Durban. The role requires a BE/BSc Eng, 15 years of consulting experience, and strong leadership across water systems including treatment works, dams and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BEng or BSc Eng) is required.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr Eng is advantageous.
• 15 years of consulting engineering and water infrastructure delivery experience.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary water teams and major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in water engineering, water treatment works, wastewater treatment works, bulk water systems, dams, pump stations, pipelines and reservoirs.
• Strong project delivery, commercial, governance, risk management and stakeholder management capability.
• Experience leading or integrating a national sector / business line under a matrix or centralised operating model will be advantageous.
• Experience overseeing Water Engineer, PM / Lead Engineer and construction supervision teams on major water infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
• Strong client relationships with municipalities, water boards, public sector entities and regional infrastructure clients will be advantageous.
