Job description

Company Description

The Section Evaluator is responsible for underground reef measurements, collation, reporting and interpretation of data from stope width measurement. The valuator must present the sampling and stope width information to management on a regular basis as well as prepare the information for month end measurement. The valuator must advise management on all aspects of the grade management on the shaft.

  • Scheduling of workload to known priorities
  • Work priorities for multitask team data collection
  • Quality work performed
  • Application of procedures
  • Usage of MRM systems
  • Time duration for task completion

This role is in the Technical - MRM Survey Department at a D1 level reporting to the Shaft Surveyor.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 with minimum 50% in maths and science
  • Chamber of Mines certificate (Advanced Valuation)
  • Advantageous: B Tech Mineral Resource Management

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a medium size environment.
  • Computer literacy for role
  • Ability to evaluate from histograms
