Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Pension Funds Act compliance specialist to monitor, manage, and enforce Section 13A compliance across employer records. You will oversee investigations, prepare case documentation, and ensure data accuracy in a regulated setting.

Responsibilities include data validation, reporting, and coordination with authorities such as the Pension Funds Adjudicator and SAPS. A strong focus on detail, governance, and timely delivery is essential.

Job description

Monitor, manage, and enforce employer compliance with Section 13A requirements of the Pension Funds Act
Identify, record, monitor, and track Section 13A contraventions and employer non-compliance cases
Generate and analyse reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and numerical verification to identify and resolve discrepancies
Prepare final work reports from validated source data
Conduct quality assurance checks on report outputs before creating employee letters and related documentation
Maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy
Create individual files and validate data quality using standardized formatting, number formats, text case conversions, and lookup functions
Send bulk communications to employers and members
Prepare, compile, and submit complete case dockets to the South African Police Service for criminal offences
Prepare and lodge cases with the Pension Funds Adjudicator, including formal submissions, responses, and supporting documentation
Compile and submit Resolution documentation for liquidation-related Section 13A matters

Requirements

• Proven experience in retirement fund administration, compliance, or a related regulatory environment
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing Section 13A reports, investigations, and employer non-compliance cases
• Practical experience dealing with SAPS criminal cases, Pension Funds Adjudicator (PFA) complaints, and resolution processes, including enforcement and liquidation-related matters
• Strong understanding of the Pension Funds Act and Section 13A legislative requirements
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage complex case files and statutory documentation
• Excellent written skills, particularly in drafting submissions, case reports, and formal correspondence
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict statutory deadlines
• Strong ethical judgment, discretion, and adherence to governance standards
• Results-driven with a strong sense of accountability
