R800 000 to R840 000 Annually CTC

A global travel retail technology leader is seeking a Scrum Master to support and elevate agile practices across multiple product development teams. The role is critical in fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment by ensuring adherence to agile principles, removing impediments, and guiding teams toward continuous improvement. The organization offers a flexible hybrid work model with opportunities to work across diverse technologies, cultures, and international projects

Minimum Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Certified Scrum Master / Scrum Practitioner
3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
5+ years in an agile environment across various contexts
Strong knowledge of Scrum and the software development lifecycle
Proficiency with Azure DevOps
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Experience working with and influencing remote teams
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) portfolio management experience
Familiarity with design thinking tools (e.g., Miro, Figma)
Knowledge of project cross-skills (Change Management, Test Analysis, Business Analysis)
Strong understanding of iterative product development, Scrum, SAFe
Leadership, planning, negotiation, and facilitation skills
Budget management and resource allocation coaching
Strong problem-solving and innovation abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Excellent presentation, stakeholder communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in project management and Agile tools
Analytical, logical, and detail-oriented
Strong organizational and general management abilities
Business insight, effective communication, decision quality, accountability
Ability to manage complexity and optimize processes

Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as Scrum Master for up to four scrum teams, driving continuous improvement
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement
Maintain backlog health through regular refinement sessions
Coach team members on Scrum roles and responsibilities, guiding them toward self-organization
Build high-performing teams, improve dynamics, and manage interpersonal conflicts
Shield teams from interruptions to maintain focus and flow
Identify and resolve impediments to delivery
Support sprint commitments using velocity data and team availability
Ensure adherence to Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD), highlighting risks when unmet
Promote understanding and adherence to Agile principles across teams and stakeholders
Raise delivery risks promptly to the Release Train Engineer
Assist in creating and managing delivery artifacts (weekly sprint reports, burndown charts, release projections)
Foster continuous learning and sharing of Agile knowledge
