As a Scrum Master / Agile Lead, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating and guiding the various Engineering teams through daily processes and ceremonies.
You will leverage your expertise in team sprint capacity planning, prioritization, issue management, issue triaging, analysis, and testing to increase productivity within the team.
This role requires a proactive individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure forward momentum and growth while maintaining a robust, secure, and user-friendly platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the prioritized backlog for teams including Engineering, QA, Data, DevOps, and Security.
- Tracking and overseeing deliverables for responsible scrum teams.
- Coaching team members on Agile practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Managing Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Managing quarterly burndowns for responsible teams.
- Collaborating with stakeholders such as Product Owners, Directors of Development, QA Managers.
- Planning work into sprints.
- Supporting the team by collating information for defense and analyzing data to identify process improvements.
- Removing impediments to team progress.
- Collaborating with the Product Owner to maintain a well-scoped, roadmap-aligned backlog.
- Tracking and communicating team performance metrics like velocity and hours logged.
- Encouraging transparency, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Performing quality assurance testing of feature enhancements.
- Performing Business Analyst work if capacity allows.
- Supporting processes via Slack, GitLab, and leading sprint priorities.
Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
- Agile certification (Certified Scrum Master) and Project or Programme Management certifications preferred.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven design.
- Contributions to open-source Ruby on Rails projects or a strong GitHub portfolio.
- Certifications in AWS, Ruby, or related technologies.
- Experience in inventory management, logistics, or related fields.
Experience:
- At least 5 years in Agile methodologies within a software development environment.
- Proven track record in SaaS or data-intensive products.
- Experience with remote, distributed teams is advantageous.
- Experience with GitLab, Heap Analytics, Asana, and Intercom is advantageous.
Domain Knowledge:
- Understanding of Agile frameworks and practices.
- Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
